Build AI Phone Receptionist for Offline garment Sales (Vapi / Bland.ai + Shopify API) We are looking for an experienced AI Voice Developer to build a fully automated phone receptionist to handle inbound garment sales. Our target audience is older/offline individuals who do not use smartphones or the internet. The entire order process—including selecting garment variations and processing payments—must happen smoothly over a standard voice call and sync directly with our Shopify store. Scope of Work & Requirements 1. Shopify Catalog Sync & Variation Collection The AI agent must greet callers and collect order data naturally. It must fetch live inventory from our Shopify store using the Shopify Admin API to verify stock. It must gather product variations: Quantity, T Style, Color, and Size (supporting multiple variants in a single order, e.g., "two Blue Mediums and one Black XL").The AI must dynamically create a Shopify Draft Order in the background during the call. 2. Hybrid Payment Processing (Voice + Keypad)The AI must transition to a secure payment step once the customer verbally confirms their order summary. Hybrid Input: The system must allow the caller to either speak their credit card details (Card Number, Expiry, CVV) OR type them into their phone keypad (using DTMF tones). The AI must listen for both simultaneously. The system must securely process the payment in real-time through our payment gateway API (e.g., Stripe, Shopify Payments, or Authorize.Net) and mark the Shopify order as Paid. 3. Security, Privacy, and Fail-Safes Privacy Compliance: The setup must feature automatic audio and transcript masking. Credit card numbers must never be recorded or stored in plain text anywhere in the logs. Keypad Fallback: If background noise prevents the AI from hearing spoken card numbers, it must gently instruct the caller to use their phone keypad instead. Preferred Tech Stack We want to keep ongoing platform costs low. We prefer a build using: Voice Platforms: Vapi.ai, Bland.ai, or Twilio Voice.E-commerce Platform: Shopify Admin API (Draft Orders, Products).Integration/Logic: Make.com, Zapier, or a simple Node.js/Python backend. Identifying and Handling Time-Wasters Budget & TimeLine Project Type: One-time, fixed-price project. Estimated Budget: $150 - $450 (depending on experience). Expected Delivery: 1 to 2 weeks.
