TITLE Full-Stack Developer – AI-Powered Career Tools Web App (Node/Postgres, OTP Auth, Admin Panel) DESCRIPTION I need a developer to build the backend, database, authentication, and admin layer for a career-tools web app. The front end (20-25 static HTML pages, fully designed) already exists and is not part of this job, it will be extended, not rebuilt. This posting covers the functional scope only; full written requirements and a private repo are shared with shortlisted candidates before final quote. THREE CORE TOOLS (all AI-powered, all require login) 1. Document Reviewer — user uploads a Document (Word .doc/.docx only), backend extracts text, sends it to an AI provider, returns a written report to the user's dashboard and by email. 2. Profile Reviewer — user uploads a PDF export (not a link, not the LinkedIn API), same flow as above, name on the PDF must be checked against the account holder (fuzzy match, not exact). 3. Document Tailoring Tool — user uploads one or two Documents plus a Requirement description, AI generates tailored content, backend must convert this into a properly formatted, branded Word document (.docx) for download, not raw text. This tool is rate-limited to one free use per user per month and requires mobile OTP verification before first use. ACCOUNTS AND VERIFICATION - Email/password registration plus Google, Microsoft, and Apple social login, with account linking if the same verified email is used across both methods. - Email verification required before any tool can be used. - SMS OTP required for tool 3 only, one number per account, with abuse/rate-limit protection (OTP requests must be capped per phone number per hour/day to prevent SMS toll fraud). - Disposable email domains blocked at signup. - Duplicate/fake account detection (same-IP flagging for review, not auto-ban). ADMIN PANEL (screen-based UI, not database access) - View, search, and filter all users and their submitted documents, linked by user ID. - Export user and submission data (CSV or similar). - Allow/reject/ban accounts, two roles only (user, admin). - Manually reset a user's monthly quota on tool 3. - View an audit log of logins, uploads, AI requests, and admin actions. BACKEND, SECURITY, AND DATA - All AI provider API calls happen server-side only, key never exposed to the browser. - Personal data (name, email, phone, address) must be stripped from any content before it is sent to the AI provider. - Malware scanning on every upload before it touches storage or gets processed. - File size and format limits enforced, corrupted/password-protected files rejected with a clear message. - Defined, working data retention and deletion rules (not just documented, actually enforced). - Every AI prompt used by the three tools must be stored in the database with version history, editable without a code deployment. - Standard relational database (PostgreSQL or MySQL), not a proprietary or locked-in format, must be exportable/migratable at any time. - Clear status and error handling for every step (upload, scan, AI call, file generation, email) — no silent failures.
