I need an end-to-end platform, built with Python and SQL Server, that lets our multi-branch pharmacies watch stock levels in real time, receive automatic reorder alerts, and, most importantly, run an AI-powered optimizer that balances demand, expiry dates, and purchase costs across every store while synchronising with our existing ERP. Core functionality • Real-time inventory tracking for each branch, pulling data straight from SQL Server • Automated, rule-driven reorder alerts that adjust thresholds dynamically • A hybrid optimisation engine: classic rule sets handle regulatory and shelf-life constraints while a machine-learning layer refines demand forecasts and transfer suggestions • Role-based access (Admin and Inventory Manager) with clear audit trails • Seamless API hooks so the platform pushes approved purchase orders and stock transfers back to the ERP without manual steps Tech notes Python will drive the business logic and AI components; I’m open to FastAPI or a similar lightweight framework for the services layer. The optimiser can live in its own microservice if that helps scaling. All transactional data must sit in SQL Server, so please factor in efficient stored procedures or ORM mappings where appropriate. Acceptance criteria 1. Dashboard shows live stock, covers at least three simulated branches, and refreshes in under five seconds. 2. Reorder alert logic passes a provided test suite of edge-case scenarios. 3. Optimisation engine beats baseline manual rules by at least 10 % on our historical dataset (CSV will be supplied). 4. Role permissions prevent Inventory Managers from changing system settings while still letting them trigger purchase orders. 5. One-click ERP sync demoed via our staging server. Deliver a Git repository with well-commented code, setup scripts, and concise user/admin documentation. I’ll be available for quick clarifications and can run iterative reviews after each milestone.
