I need an Android-only locker application that can remotely lock a customer’s phone whenever an EMI payment is missed. The lock itself will be triggered manually from an admin dashboard once my finance team confirms non-payment; there is no need for automated date checks on the device. Core flow: the customer installs the app during onboarding, grants all required device-owner permissions, and keeps it running quietly in the background. If a payment is missed, I log in to the web-based admin panel, select the user’s device, and send the lock command. The device should then display a full-screen blocking view that prevents normal use until I issue an unlock command after payment is received. Because the sole purpose is payment enforcement, traditional locker extras such as file storage, password managers, or photo vaults are not required. Instead, I want the build to focus on: reliable remote locking, tamper resistance (e.g., uninstall protection, block Settings access), and a lightweight footprint so the customer’s phone performance is unaffected when the device is in good standing. Please deliver: • Android app (targeting current API level with backward compatibility to Android 8) • Secure admin web panel or small REST service with simple UI to lock/unlock users • Documentation covering installation, required permissions (Device Administrator / Device Owner), and the lock-unlock API calls A short demo video or screen recording that proves the lock, unlock, and tamper-proofing is working will be part of the acceptance criteria.
