I am ready to push my Android streaming application from beta into full-scale production and need an experienced developer to take it across the finish line. Core platform work The app must handle both live and on-demand streaming without hiccups. On the backend you will design and optimise a database that stores user profiles, subscription/payment data, and the video assets themselves. Smooth video delivery, sensible indexing of large files, and straightforward scaling paths are essential. Location-driven safety features Family tracking, location alerts, and an emergency location-streaming mode are already sketched out; they now need hardening, real-time testing, and clean integration with the existing UI. Timely push notifications and a monthly activity report for each family group are part of this scope. Monetisation & plans Free-tier users should see ads (I am happy with AdMob, but I am open to better suggestions). Paid subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience. You will implement the paywall, test Google Play subscriptions, and confirm that ad suppression works as intended throughout the app. Business portal groundwork Please prepare a clear directory and API structure that will later power our web-based Business Portal. Think of this as laying down the routes, controllers, and auth guardrails so the web team can plug in next. Emergency streaming workflow Revise the current flow so that, at the tap of a dedicated SOS button, the app immediately starts streaming video and location to pre-defined contacts—and stores that footage safely on the server for later review. High-level deliverables • Production-ready Android build with live & VOD streaming • Robust Firestore / SQL-based (open to your recommendation) backend covering users, videos, and subscriptions • Integrated family tracking, alerts, and SOS live stream • Ad-supported free plan and verified ad-free paid plan • Monthly reporting module (CSV/PDF export is fine for now) • Clean, documented directory/API structure for the upcoming Business Portal • Test suite and release notes Acceptance criteria 1. All streams play with <2-second startup on a standard 4G connection. 2. Location alerts reach devices within 5 seconds, verified in live test. 3. Subscription upgrade/downgrade flows pass Google Play review. 4. Free-tier users receive ads on every video screen; paid users never do. 5. Emergency workflow activates in one tap and records flawlessly for at least 10 minutes. 6. Code is pushed to our GitHub with installation & migration docs. If you have solid experience with Kotlin/Jetpack, ExoPlayer, Google Maps, Firebase/Firestore or similar, and in-app purchases, I would love to see your approach and timeline.
