I need a small Android application whose sole focus is Wi-Fi. When a user joins a network, the app must detect the captive-portal event and immediately redirect the user to a specified URL. No broader suite of features is required; the goal is to make the captive-portal hand-off seamless and reliable every time. You are free to use Kotlin or Java in Android Studio, but please lean on the standard WiFiManager and network callbacks so the solution stays compatible with current and future Android releases. The flow should look like this: • Detect connection to any Wi-Fi network • Identify that a captive portal is present • Push the user straight to the designated redirect URL in a WebView or their default browser Deliverables • Signed, installable APK for testing • Full Android Studio project with clean, well-commented code • Short README explaining build steps and where to change the redirect URL I can test on multiple Android versions once you supply the first build, and I will give quick feedback so we can fine-tune detection accuracy before wrapping up.
