I need a compact, high-performance mmWave antenna designed and fully simulated in ANSYS HFSS for an indoor radar system operating between 24 GHz and 30 GHz. Your task is to take the project from concept through to a verified HFSS model that meets the key figures of merit for radar-grade hardware—return loss below –10 dB across the band, stable radiation patterns, and at least 8 dBi gain. You are free to choose the most suitable topology—patch array, waveguide slot, or another structure—as long as it can be fabricated on standard RF substrates and still deliver consistent indoor performance. Throughout the process I expect short progress notes explaining design decisions, material choices, and any optimisation steps you apply inside HFSS. Deliverables • HFSS project file with all parametric sweeps, boundary conditions, and excitations intact • Simulation report (PDF) summarising S-parameters, gain, efficiency, radiation patterns, and near-field plots • Brief memo outlining potential fabrication constraints and tuning provisions Acceptance criteria 1. Verified simulation showing S11 ≤ –10 dB from 24 GHz to 30 GHz 2. Peak gain ≥ 8 dBi with beam symmetry suitable for indoor radar coverage 3.
