We're looking for a talented 2D animator/motion designer to help bring our AI app to life. Our app features a main AI character named Savera along with several illustrated environments. We already have the character design and UI completed—we're looking for someone who can create polished, high-quality animations that feel smooth, modern, and expressive. This is not a one-off animation. We're looking for someone who can potentially work with us long-term as we continue adding new scenes and interactions. What You'll Be Animating 1. Savera Character Animations Animate our main character, Savera, with a variety of expressions, poses, and actions, including (but not limited to): Happy Sad Thinking Calm Frustrated Working on a laptop Talking Listening Waving Celebrating Idle breathing/idle animation Blinking and subtle facial expressions We will provide detailed instructions for each animation along with reference images. 2. Background & Environment Animations Animate subtle elements within our app's illustrated environments to make them feel alive. Examples include: Coffee shop ambience Apartment scene Office/workspace Other environments throughout the app Examples of subtle animations: Steam rising from coffee Trees or plants moving slightly Light flickering naturally Rain outside windows Curtains moving Computer screens glowing Small decorative movement Ambient background effects The goal is to create premium, polished motion without distracting the user. Deliverables Smooth, high-quality animations Organized source files Exported assets in formats suitable for web/mobile (Lottie, Rive, JSON, GIF, MP4, or other recommended formats) Clean layer organization for future edits Consistent animation style across all scenes Ideal Experience We're looking for someone with experience in: Character animation UI/app animations Motion design Lottie, Rive, After Effects, Spine, or similar tools Creating expressive, natural character movement Modern SaaS or mobile app animation To Apply Please include: Your portfolio (especially character animation) Examples of app/UI animations Examples of expressive character work Your preferred animation tools Estimated turnaround time Your hourly rate or fixed-price estimate Questions We'd Like You to Answer Please answer the following in your proposal: Have you animated characters for apps before?
