I maintain an existing Appian application that now needs a round of solid improvements. The scope covers three fronts at once: adding brand-new features, ironing out lingering bugs, and squeezing better performance out of every screen and flow. You will dive into the current process models, user interfaces, and integrations, updating or redesigning each where it makes sense. Solid SQL is essential because many of our performance issues trace back to poorly written queries and sub-optimal database design decisions made earlier in the project. Key outcomes I expect: • Updated process models that follow Appian best practices, eliminate redundant paths, and run noticeably faster. • Fresh or redesigned interfaces that load quickly, are easier to use, and render consistently across devices. • Clean, well-documented integrations (REST and SQL) that replace brittle legacy calls, returning data in formats our front-end can consume effortlessly. • A tidy backlog of closed defects with root causes documented so we avoid repeat issues. • Metrics or before-and-after evidence demonstrating measurable performance gains. All new work should be delivered through Appian application packages with importable patches, clearly version-controlled SQL scripts, and brief release notes summarizing what changed and why. Automated regression tests or thorough manual test steps are expected for anything you touch.
