Our commercial premises are being remodeled, and the conference rooms must be upgraded to block traffic rumble, hallway chatter, and the flutter echo that makes calls hard to follow. I need an architect who already handles acoustic challenges in workplaces, someone comfortable blending aesthetics with performance while remaining mindful of code and fire-rating requirements. Here is what the job involves: • Assess the existing conference-room construction, HVAC path, ceiling grid, and glazing for weak points. • Model the rooms in Revit or AutoCAD and run an acoustic simulation (EASE, Odeon, or similar) to predict STC and reverberation time. • Produce construction drawings that show wall build-ups, door and glazing specs, ceiling treatments, and any floor or plenum isolation details. • Provide a concise material schedule (mass-loaded vinyl, resilient channels, acoustic sealant, panels, etc.) and installation notes my contractor can follow. • Issue a short report summarizing the expected improvement and any testing method to verify it on site. I will shortlist professionals who can point to prior commercial sound-insulation work and briefly explain how their approach will tame both airborne and impact noise.
