I need a streamlined workbook that keeps my retail product inventory accurate without constant manual intervention. All stock data will arrive from another system—typically a CSV or Excel export from our POS—so the file must let me import that feed, refresh totals at the click of a button, and immediately show what is selling and what needs re-ordering. Core deliverables • Track stock levels in real time once the latest import is processed • Generate clear sales reports (daily, weekly, monthly views with sortable pivots and charts) • Alert me when any SKU hits or drops below my chosen reorder point—ideally with conditional-formatting highlights plus an optional pop-up or email trigger I am comfortable working in Excel or Google Sheets; choose whichever environment lets you build the cleanest solution. Power Query, VBA, or Google Apps Script are all fine if they keep the workflow one-click simple: “Import → Refresh → Decide.” Acceptance criteria 1. Import template accepts the raw export file with no column edits from me. 2. A single action updates stock, sales metrics, and low-stock flags. 3. All formulas or code are documented so I can tweak thresholds or add SKUs later. 4. Workbook performs smoothly with at least 5,000 rows of product history. Once the file matches these points, I’ll test it with live POS exports; when everything reconciles, the job is done.
