I am looking for a freelancer to build a simple automated video library or video blog using WordPress. The main requirement is that I must be able to add videos directly from my Android phone while browsing Instagram or Facebook. I want to open a public Instagram or Facebook post, press the native Share button, select my video library, and automatically create a new video entry on my WordPress website. The solution must use existing tools, WordPress plugins and automation platforms wherever possible. I do not want a complex custom platform or a full native mobile application. Main objective Create a minimum viable product with the following workflow: Instagram or Facebook → Android Share menu → lightweight PWA → automation → WordPress video entry The process should require as few manual steps as possible. Expected user experience I find a public Instagram Reel, Instagram post or Facebook video post. I press the native Share button on my Android phone. I select an installed PWA called “My Video Library”. The PWA receives the shared URL or shared text containing the URL. The system checks whether that URL already exists in the library. If it is new, the system creates a WordPress video entry. The video entry is automatically classified and displayed in the video-blog interface. The PWA shows a success or error message. The PWA should also include a simple fallback form where I can paste a URL manually. Minimum-development requirement This project must be implemented with the minimum reasonable amount of custom development. The preferred solution is: WordPress for the website and content management. An existing lightweight WordPress theme or video-blog theme. A WordPress custom post type called “Videos”. A small installable PWA using the Web Share Target functionality. Make.com, n8n or a similar automation platform. WordPress REST API for creating video entries. Official embedding methods for public Instagram and Facebook content. A small custom WordPress plugin only where necessary. Please do not propose a completely custom backend, custom social network, large mobile application or unnecessary SaaS platform. WordPress video library requirements The WordPress website must include: A custom post type called “Videos”. A responsive video-card grid. An individual page for each video. Search by keyword. Categories. Tags. Filter by source platform. Filter by category. Filter by date added. Mobile-friendly design. Pagination, load-more button or infinite scrolling. WordPress administration access. The ability to edit, publish, unpublish or delete any video entry. An existing theme and existing plugins should be used wherever appropriate. A completely custom visual design is not required. Information stored for each video Each WordPress video entry should store, where technically available: Original Instagram or Facebook URL. Source platform. Embedded public post or video. Preview image or thumbnail. Original account or author name. Date added to the library. Automatically generated title. Short description. Categories. Tags. Publication status. A unique identifier or normalized URL for duplicate detection. If some metadata cannot be obtained reliably, the system must still save the original URL and create the entry. Automatic classification The automation should: Detect whether the link comes from Instagram or Facebook. Extract the valid URL from shared text. Generate a short descriptive title. Generate a brief summary when enough information is available. Suggest or assign relevant tags. Assign one or more categories. Check for duplicate URLs. Create the WordPress entry as a draft by default. There should be a simple WordPress setting to change from: Create as draft. Publish automatically. AI classification may use an existing API, but the freelancer must explain all API fees and recurring costs before implementation. The first version can use a limited list of approximately 10–20 predefined categories.
