I need a production-ready PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS to capture and manage transactional data. The scope starts with modelling the schema from my existing business logic, then moves through provisioning an RDS instance, configuring security groups, roles and automated backups, and ends with a small test dataset loaded so I can validate queries from my application layer. Because the data is transactional in nature, solid indexing strategy, ACID-compliant design and sensible partitioning options are important. You are free to use native AWS tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform for repeatable deployment, and pgAdmin or psql for validation, as long as the final setup is easy for me to maintain. Please point me to past work that shows similar database builds or migrations you have handled; that will be my main selection criterion. The timeline is flexible, so you can focus on doing the job right rather than rushing. Key deliverables: • Normalised schema (SQL file) • Live AWS RDS PostgreSQL instance configured for production use • Access credentials and connection details documented • Basic performance tuning (parameters, indexes, vacuum settings) • Written hand-off notes so I can extend or scale the database later Once those pieces are in place and tested, I will close the project.
