My goal is to turn “Jarvis” into a true personal assistant powered by Anthropic’s Claude, written in Python, and tightly integrated with my Obsidian knowledge vault. Core functions • Calendar & reminder management – create, modify, and announce events from Google / Apple / Outlook calendars. • Instant answers – route my voice or typed questions through Claude, enrich the reply with notes pulled from Obsidian, then present it back conversationally. • Routine automations – trigger Python scripts for repetitive chores (file sorting, daily briefing assembly, smart email templates, etc.) based on my spoken or typed commands. Target environments The assistant should run on desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux) and sync seamlessly to a lightweight mobile front-end (iOS & Android). A local Python service is fine on the desktop; the phone app can be React Native, Flutter, or any wrapper you’re comfortable with—just keep the user experience uniform. Interaction style Both voice and text must be supported. Voice wake-word or push-to-talk is acceptable as long as latency stays low. Text UI can live in a tray, menu bar, or small chat window. Key integrations & tech – Claude API for natural-language reasoning – Python 3.x as the orchestration layer – Obsidian markdown vault accessed via its plugin API or plain file reads – Calendar APIs (Google, Outlook, Apple) – Optional: Speech-to-text / text-to-speech libraries such as Vosk, Whisper, Coqui, or platform-native tools Deliverables 1. Source code with clear setup instructions 2. Working desktop build plus a companion mobile client or PWA 3. Sample automation scripts demonstrating at least two routine tasks 4. Documentation explaining how to add new commands, automations, and integrations 5. Brief recorded demo showcasing voice and text interactions on both platforms Acceptance criteria • Commands issued by voice or text are acknowledged within two seconds. • Calendar events created in Jarvis appear instantly in the native calendar app. • Answers include relevant Obsidian note links when applicable. • All code passes linting and installs with a one-line script on macOS, Windows, and Ubuntu. That’s the scope; excited to see how you’d architect and polish this smart assistant. As well as running the business and getting updates from AI sales and marketing info ex. Cock through rates, metrics and other data the business might enquire.
