Senior Business Analyst / Product Manager (Freelance) Position Senior Business Analyst / Product Manager (Freelance) Contract Freelance (Remote) Availability Approximately 4–6 hours per day (Monday–Friday), with flexibility during major releases. About Us We are building three enterprise software platforms: 1. ANI Motors * Self-drive vehicle hire * Chauffeur marketplace * Private hire vehicle marketplace * Fleet management * Rental contracts * Payments * Compliance 2. Taxi Dispatch System * Customer App * Driver App * Operator Portal * Dispatcher Portal * Real-time vehicle tracking * Driver management * Pricing engine * Commission management 3. KwikBooking * Vehicle servicing marketplace * MOT bookings * Repairs * Parts marketplace * Mobile mechanics * Workshops * Multi-vendor platform These projects are in the final stages of development and are being built by a team of approximately 12 software developers. ⸻ Role Overview We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst / Product Manager who can bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation. The successful candidate will work directly with the company founder, developers, QA engineers and DevOps team to ensure every feature is correctly designed, implemented and tested. This is not a project management role. We need someone who understands complex business processes and can translate them into clear technical requirements. ⸻ Main Responsibilities * Understand business requirements from the founder. * Convert ideas into detailed functional specifications. * Document business rules and workflows. * Create clear user stories and acceptance criteria. * Prepare process flow diagrams. * Define edge cases and exception handling. * Explain business logic to developers. * Work closely with Senior QA Engineers to ensure business rules are correctly tested. * Review completed features before approval. * Identify missing functionality and suggest improvements. * Prioritise development tasks with the founder. * Ensure consistency across all three platforms. * Reduce ambiguity by providing clear documentation and quick answers to developer questions. ⸻ Deliverables The successful candidate will produce: * Business Requirements Documents (BRD) * Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS) * User Stories * Acceptance Criteria * Business Rule Documents * Process Flow Diagrams * Workflow Charts * Product Backlog * Feature Specifications * Wireframes (where required) * Change Requests * Release Notes ⸻ Required Experience Minimum 8 years’ experience as a: * Senior Business Analyst * Product Manager * Product Owner * Solution Analyst Experience delivering enterprise software from concept through to production. Experience with one or more of the following industries: * Marketplace platforms * Vehicle rental * Fleet management * Ride-hailing / taxi dispatch * Booking systems * Logistics * Payments / FinTech * SaaS platforms * Multi-vendor marketplaces ⸻ Technical Knowledge Must understand: * Agile / Scrum * Jira * Confluence * APIs * REST APIs * Databases * Mobile applications * Web applications * User roles & permissions * Payment workflows * Business process modelling * Software development lifecycle (SDLC) * QA processes * Release management Coding experience is not required, but the ability to communicate effectively with developers is essential. ⸻ Preferred Qualifications One or more of the following is desirable: * CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) * PMI-PBA * PSPO (Professional Scrum Product Owner) * CSPO * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or Business Equivalent experience will also be considered. ⸻ Personal Skills We are looking for someone who: * Thinks logically and analytically. * Has excellent communication skills. * Can simplify complex business processes. * Pays exceptional attention to detail. * Challenges unclear requirements. * Suggests practical improvements. * Is proactive rather than reactive. * Can manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Works independently with minimal supervision. ⸻ Success Criteria Within the first 60 days, the successful candidate should: * Fully understand all three software platforms. * Produce comprehensive business documentation. * Create acceptance criteria for every major module. * Eliminate uncertainty for developers and QA engineers. * Improve communication between business, development and QA. * Help prepare all three platforms for production release. ⸻ When Applying Please include: * CV/Resume * Portfolio of similar software projects * Examples of BRDs, FRS documents or User Stories you have written (redacted if confidential) * Relevant certifications * Availability (hours per day) * Hourly rate * Time zone * English proficiency * References (preferred) Please describe one enterprise software platform you helped take from requirements to production and explain your role in its success.
