I'm seeking an artist to create an 8-panel cartoonish comic strip. The comic will depict the story of my first date with my girlfriend. (So me and my girlfriend met online when we were teenagers, we met playing socom and fell madly in love with each other. We would spend all day online together playing games, hanging out in video chats and just laughing and giggling together. It was perfect. But underneath they both had issues, she was dealing with an abusive mom and coping, he was using drugs and getting worse. She wasn't able to stand seeing him destroy himself with everything else she had going on in her life and they ended up breaking up. It broke their hearts, but it just wasn't their time. She ended up moving on and finding a guy in new York and having s beautiful daughter, it didnt work out between them, while he spiraled into drugs and ended up getting arrested and ruining his life. He kept jumping from 1 emotionally manipulative relationship to another, woman taking advantage of his big heart and niceness so he decided to just stay single for awhile. She ended up finding somebody and getting married, having another daughter and staying with him for 10 years. They would think of eachother from time to time, like when they would see the other person post on facebook. He tried messaging her a couple times to reunite but once he didnt hear back, and the other time she was married. Life went on. He was in and out of rehab, bouncing around, using heroin, holding a job but having nothing in his life worth living. He just wanted it to end. Finally he decided enough was enough and got clean, and found a good job and started working on himself. Meanwhile she ended up splitting with her husband after some traumatic things happened, after awhile she started doing good, found a really good job, started working out, then he happened. The man who would try and take everything from her, for an entire year she would have to endure his abuse, mentally and physically, she was exhausted and didnt know how to escape physically so she just did mentally. Until 1 day she couldn't take it anymore, she got so angry she thought she was going to kill him, she finally made him pack his shit and leave. After that she got help and finally found out it wasnt her fault, she just didnt understand it, it was the biggest weight off her shoulders understanding it wasnt in her control, she had bpd. After she found that out she started to heal, trying to get her head back to normal. Meanwhile he was doing really good, working his best job, working out, living his best life so he started to dip his toes back in dating, he matched with a beautiful woman, they hit it off immediately and it was hot and heavy, he really thought it could've been something, they talked about traveling, she invited him to weddings, he would drive 4 hours a day just to see her with no sleep. Then something happened, a switch in her flipped, he couldnt even tell if she liked him, he would cry himself home everything she kicked him out. Then finally he asked him if she even liked him, and she said she felt they were good friends. A dagger to the chest. He agreed with her even though he didnt. He was confused for awhile but felt like he had healed. Then 1 day he was looking through facebook and seen her, the girl he dated online when he was a teenager. He was just wondering how she had been doing, he had tried messaging her in atleast 10 years, he said what the he'll ill see how shes been. She was surprised, they start talking and find out they are both single. They just decide to be friends at first and have fun see where it goes, but that connection is still there, its too strong, they cant fight it, its like they picked up right where they left it. They sit and talk all night making eachother laugh. Make eachother feel loved and heard and whole. Eventually they just do it, they start dating again, and they cant fight their feelings they are still madly in love with 1 another, they test the waters, he plays around the word, she says it. They play games and watch movies together like they never missed a beat, the butterflies fly whenever she messages him. And in September when she goes to visit him, and they can finally hold eachother, and smile, and when their lips meet for the first time, the world will stop, nothing will matter in that moment except eachother, it will be the happiest he has ever been knowing she is finally his, and he is finally hers.) Requirements: - 8 panels - Cartoonish art style - Ability to illustrate a pre-written story
