I have a fun, adventure-filled concept for a picture book aimed squarely at preschoolers (ages 3-5) and I need a writer who can turn that spark into a polished, read-aloud manuscript. The tone should be lively yet simple, with plenty of rhythm and repetition so little listeners can join in. Think 500–700 words total, spread over a classic picture-book structure with a clear beginning, playful tension in the middle, and a warm, satisfying resolution. Because the finished book will feature bold, cartoonish illustrations, I’d like the text to leave room for visual storytelling—short scene descriptions or illustration notes are welcome so an artist can easily bring the pages to life. Deliverables I’ll be looking for: • Complete manuscript suitable for ages 3-5 (Word or Google Docs) • Brief illustration notes per spread, pointing out key visual moments • One round of revisions after initial feedback If you have samples of previous picture-book work—especially anything adventurous or humor-driven—please include them with your proposal.
