My multiplayer game currently runs on a VPS that is being singled out by DDoS crews. I need the traffic to flow through Cloudflare so the real VPS IP never surfaces and attackers hit the edge network instead of my box. Here is what I already have in place: the full game-server source and the DLL source code, so any handshake tweaks or port changes you recommend can be implemented quickly on my side. I’ve decided on a cloud-based approach and would like to stick with Cloudflare, aiming for an advanced level of protection rather than the basic free tier. What I need from you: • Plan and deploy the correct Cloudflare service (Spectrum or an equivalent option you consider best for game traffic). • Adjust DNS, firewall rules, and any necessary NAT so the VPS IP remains hidden. • Tune rate-limiting, WAF, and L4/L7 filtering to handle the usual UDP/TCP floods common in game attacks without adding noticeable latency for players. • Hand me a concise hand-off doc that explains every change, so I can maintain it or replicate it on future servers. I’ll grant temporary console and panel access to the VPS once we agree on the scope, and we can run a controlled stress test before sign-off to confirm the mitigation holds.
