I need a seasoned estimator who can take our commercial drawings—from conceptual sketches through final IFC sets—and translate them into clear, defensible numbers. Accurate cost estimation is the heartbeat of this role; every figure you produce will guide procurement decisions, bid negotiations, and the overall financial health of each project. You’ll analyse plans, perform detailed quantity take-offs, build CSI-coded budgets, and update them as design evolves. Experience with tools such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift or similar take-off software, plus solid Excel skills (pivot tables, cost databases), will make collaboration smooth. If you are also comfortable rolling those numbers into a live cost-tracking dashboard once construction starts, even better. Deliverables I’m expecting: • A complete line-item estimate (exported to Excel or native format) with assumptions and exclusions clearly stated • A brief value-engineering log highlighting cost-saving opportunities • At least one revision round reflecting design changes or market pricing updates Send over examples of past commercial estimates you have produced—screenshots, redacted spreadsheets, or bid abstracts are all acceptable. I’m less interested in a long proposal and more interested in proof that your previous numbers held up in the field.
