Commercial Solar System DesignI am preparing a commercial-scale solar installation of up to 50 kW and need a complete electrical design package that a permitting authority and my installation crew can work from without further modification. The scope covers three key areas: • Solar panel layout – optimized stringing, row spacing, and tilt to maximise yield on the available roof area. • Electrical wiring – conduit runs, cable sizing, protection devices, string combiner or homerun details, and a clean single-line diagram that meets the latest NEC/IEC requirements. • Inverter system – proper inverter selection, placement, and integration with the existing service panel, including grounding and monitoring points. Deliverables I expect: 1. CAD and PDF drawings for the array layout, single-line, and wiring schematics. 2. An equipment schedule / bill of materials. 3. Basic generation estimate (PVsyst, Helioscope or similar) to validate design assumptions. 4. A brief design report citing code references used. Files must be ready for submission to the local authority having jurisdiction and usable by field electricians.
