I'm looking for an experienced Stormworks developer to build a detailed submarine. The submarine will need a variety of functionalities, including but not limited to: - Diving and surfacing - Navigation system - Torpedo launch capabilities Ideal Skills and Experience: - Proficiency in Stormworks vehicle creation - Strong understanding of submarine mechanics - Experience with complex functionalities and systems integration STORMWORK VEHICLE COMMISSION: TYPE-T "TROPICAL RAIDER" (80s/90s ERA) ================ PROJECT OVERVIEW: Looking to commission an advanced, fully functional late-Cold War era (1980s/1990s) attack/strike submarine. The vessel is a long-range, specialized missile and special-operations platform optimized for stealthy, shallow running in tropical environments. It must feature a high-detail retro-tech interior, automated water-tight survival loops, and fully functioning VLS and DDS systems. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. DESIGN & HULL SPECIFICATIONS ---------------------------------------------------------------------- * Dimensions: Approx. 280–300 blocks long, 32–36 blocks wide to allow a true double-hull structure with internal crawlspaces. * Hull Profile: Teardrop/Albacore-style rounded bow. Entire exterior must be smooth and aerodynamic using 1x2 and 1x4 inverse wedge slopes. No WWII wedge lines or flat wooden decks. * Painting/Aesthetic: Uniform matte charcoal black or dark navy blue (anechoic tile texture simulation). No external markings except a clean, dark grey hull number on the sail. * The Sail (Conning Tower): Long, swept, and streamlined. - Forward half: Houses retractable piston masts (1x Snorkel, 1x Radar, 1x Laser/Periscope Video Camera). - Rear half: Features a built-in, flush-fitting Dry Deck Shelter (DDS) Hangar measuring approx. 8 blocks wide and 12 blocks tall to house a small wet mini-sub. Must have automated, sliding rear clamshell doors. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. INTERNAL DECK STRUCTURE (DOUBLE-DECKER SPLIT HULL) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- A horizontal dividing floor splits the pressure hull into two distinct vertical levels: * UPPER DECK (Missile Compartment): - Contains a fixed grid of 32 internal Vertical Launch System (VLS) tubes. - No pivots or folding parts. Missiles launch straight up through automated, flush-fitting top deck hatches. * LOWER DECK (Crew & Power Corridor): - A central 3-block-wide walk-through corridor running beneath the VLS bay floor plates. - The floor must be lined completely with Large Battery blocks to act as a heavy keel ballast, preventing the hull from rolling when surfaced. * CONTROL ROOM (The Zentrale): - 1980s/1990s retro-modern digital/analog hybrid helm. - No vintage brass wheels. Must be dominated by 2x2 and 3x3 Monitor blocks running custom Lua scripts for green/amber monochrome radar maps, active sonar sweeps, and periscope video feeds. - Vertical panels filled with analog Dials (tracking engine RPM, Battery charge, Compressed Air) and dense grids of toggle buttons. - Lighting: Integrated toggle switch to change the interior cabin from cold white fluorescent lights to deep tactical red. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. MISSILE PAYLOAD CONFIGURATION (32 TOTAL VLS) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The 32 VLS tubes must be hard-coded and labeled on the weapon panels into three distinct payload groups: * 4x Anti-Ship Cruise Missiles (TASM): Equipped with active-radar tracking to seek large surface vessels. * 7x Tactical Nuclear Land-Attack Missiles (TLAM-N): Configured with maximum-yield warheads from the Weapons DLC. * 21x Conventional Land-Attack Missiles (TLAM-C): Configured with standard high-explosive payloads. * Control Panel: Must include a 32-light indicator grid board showing live launch status (Green = Armed/Loaded, Red = Fired/Empty). --------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. STANDARD SUBMARINE LOGIC & SURVIVAL SYSTEMS ---------------------------------------------------------------------- * Watertight Compartmentalization: The hull must be divided into at least 4 sealed zones (Torpedo Room, Control Deck, Missile Vault, Engine Room) separated by functional Automated Watertight Doors. * Automated Bilge Loop: Every room requires a Fluid Sensor wired directly to high-output Fluid Pumps. If any compartment detects water, the bilge pumps must automatically engage to dump the water through dedicated exterior hull ports. * Automated Ballast & Depth-Hold: - Main ballast tanks must use variable fluid pumps and air vents mapped to a Pilot Seat to control positive, neutral, and negative buoyancy. - Include an active PID Depth-Hold microcontroller wired to a pressure sensor that auto-adjusts the horizontal diving planes to lock the sub at user-input depths (optimized for shallow 45–100 foot cruising). * Bow Weaponry: 4x forward-facing 21-inch torpedo tubes compatible with DLC acoustic-homing torpedoes. The torpedo room must feature static interior reloading racks. * Diesel-Electric Propulsion Loop: - 2x Large Diesel Engines connected to Large Generators (only functional when the Snorkel mast is raised at shallow depth to charge the bottom battery vaults). - 2x Large Electric Motors connected to a single, multi-blade propeller shaft. Underwater propulsion must run 100% off battery power for dead-silent cruise capability. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 5. SPECIAL CUSTOM MICROCONTROLLERS REQUIRED ---------------------------------------------------------------------- * VLS Safety Interlock: An 'AND' logic microcontroller that completely locks the missile ignition triggers unless the corresponding top deck VLS hatch is 100% open. * DDS Flood/Drain Sequencer: A single-button controller inside the command deck that triggers the following step-by-step launch sequence for the mini-sub: 1. Closes and locks the internal hull transfer hatch. 2. Activates fluid pumps to fully flood the sail's DDS chamber. 3. Opens the rear sliding clamshell doors. 4. Releases the magnetic connectors holding the mini-sub. 5. (Reverse sequence drains Please share past work and relevant experience.
