I’m looking for an experienced PMO consultant who can guide me through an end-to-end training program and leave me with a practical toolkit ready for immediate use inside a government entity. Scope of the training The curriculum must span the full PMO life-cycle: building an operating model, drafting a PMO Charter, setting up a fit-for-purpose Governance Framework, defining policies and procedures, and establishing a clear project-intake process. From there we will move into the day-to-day mechanics—template design (Business Case, Project Charter, Status Report, Lessons Learned), RAID log discipline, KPI definition, and executive dashboard creation—with a strong emphasis on Portfolio Management, the area I consider most critical. Depth on Portfolio Management Within Portfolio Management I need hands-on coaching around three themes: • Project selection criteria that align with strategic objectives • Resource allocation techniques that maximise constrained capacity • Performance metrics that keep executives focused on value, not just activity Although I currently rely on Excel for portfolio data, I’m open to seeing how Microsoft Project or Power BI could be woven in for richer analysis and reporting. Deliverables 1. Slide deck or manual covering every topic listed above, complete with worked examples 2. Customisable templates (Word, Excel, or equivalent) for all PMO artefacts mentioned 3. A RAID log structure I can roll out on day one 4. Sample executive dashboards and KPI scorecards, ideally formatted for Excel but easily migrated to Power BI 5. A PMO maturity assessment tool I can reuse annually 6. A consolidated “PMO Toolkit” folder packaged for hand-off—this will be the acceptance milestone Please outline your proposed approach, the estimated timeline for each module, and any prior experience setting up PMOs within the public sector. I’m ready to start immediately and will make scheduling flexible so we can finish strong with a toolkit I can champion across the organisation.
