Project Overview: We have a completed visual design for a new Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo monastery and church website, but the designer is not a web developer. We now need an experienced website designer/developer to take the provided design and turn it into a fully functional, mobile-friendly, desktop-friendly, finished website and upload/publish it through our GoDaddy hosting. Design will be provided/shared via Canva. This is not a full branding or logo design project. The main design direction has already been created. We need someone who can implement it properly as a live website. About the Organization: The website is for Gishen Mariam Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Monastery and Church, a new monastery and church being formed in Shasta County, California. The website should feel sacred, respectful, traditional, peaceful, and professional. It will be used for early public presence, announcements, community awareness, and fundraising. What We Need: - Convert the provided design into a responsive live website - Make the site look good on desktop, tablet, and mobile - Upload and publish the finished website using our GoDaddy hosting - Set up the basic pages and navigation - Make sure text, images, buttons, and sections display correctly - Keep the Ethiopian Orthodox aesthetic and design style intact - Make the site easy for us to update later if possible - Test the website before final delivery Design with pages and tabs will be included and shared via Canva. We are open to a one-page scrolling website if that is faster and cleaner, as long as it looks complete and professional. Platform Preference: We are open to WordPress, GoDaddy Website Builder, or another practical solution, but the final site must be easy to host and manage through GoDaddy. Please explain what platform you recommend and why. Files We Will Provide After Hiring: - Final design from our designer (w/text/content included) - Hosting/domain access or GoDaddy access instructions - Any additional church information needed Important Requirements: - Must be experienced with responsive website development - Must know how to publish a website through GoDaddy hosting - Must preserve the existing design as closely as possible - Must make the site mobile and desktop friendly - Must be able to complete the project quickly - Must communicate clearly and provide progress updates - Must not use copyrighted images, icons, or fonts unless properly licensed - Final site must be fully working before payment is released - All web design ownership is to be turned over at the time of handover Preferred Experience: - WordPress / Elementor - GoDaddy hosting - Figma/PSD/Canva/PDF/image to website conversion - Church, nonprofit, religious, or fundraising websites - Mobile-responsive design - Basic SEO setup - Contact form setup - Donation button or donation link setup Please Include in Your Proposal: - Examples of responsive websites you have built - Examples of sites you have launched on GoDaddy, if available - Whether you recommend WordPress, GoDaddy Website Builder, or another platform - Estimated timeline - Fixed price quote - Confirmation that you can make the site mobile and desktop friendly - Confirmation that you can upload and publish the finished site Desired Timeline: We would like this completed as soon as possible, ideally within a few days after providing the design files, content, and hosting access.
