I have site sketches and room layouts for an under-house (downstairs) renovation to my home in Darwin, NT. I now need them translated into a clean, professional 2D CAD package that my local building certifier and structural engineer can stamp without revisions. Scope of work You will work from my scanned sketches, dimensions and notes to prepare drawings that strictly follow current Australian Standards (NCC/BCA, AS 1100 conventions, metric units throughout). The set must be ready for formal lodgement, so correct line-weights, layering, north point, title block, scale bars and clear annotation are essential. Required sheets • Floor plan (existing and proposed if needed) • Elevation views on all relevant sides • Section views illustrating floor-to-ceiling heights, wet areas Addition of electrical layout for lighting and wall sockets Source & deliverables I can supply high-resolution PDFs/JPEGs of the measured sketches and any photos you need. Timing Once I hand over the sketches I’d like an initial draft within one week, with a further week for any mark-ups before final issue. Additional Notes: - The project may require alterations as I am not an expert in construction. - A percentage of the final payment will be held back pending approval by local certifiers, as rework might be needed to meet their requirements. If you are comfortable drafting to Australian standards from paper sketches and can hit those time frames, I’d like to hear how you would approach it and see a couple of similar residential drawing samples.
