I have a cottage rental business. I want to make a website but with different functions. Booking - I want the website to be able to handle all my bookings and take payment via credit card. There can be an option to pay with cash on arrival as well. In Japan its not normal for customers to simply cancel without notifying us but maybe the option to pay via cash can be made only by phone call? Im not sure as someone can book all my cabins and not show up. Maybe if they want to pay by cash they have to leave a credit card on the site when booking. When a I get a booking, I would like that to be reflected on the site and show "Booked" or "Not Available" when customers do their searches. Can cottage availability based on present bookings also be reflected on other sites like Expedia? There should be a way for me to also remove a cottage from being listed, for example if I am doing repairs, construction, etc or if I get a booking by telephone. When customers book our cottage, they can also request some other things we offer at an additional cost some are free. For example a BBQ Grill is at extra cost, extra sheets are free. I would like to have these options displayed to them so they can choose in advance when they want. When I receive a booking, Id like to get a notification sent to my phone, email, etc. It should show me What cabin, the dates and what extras they requested. Dashboard - On my side, Id like to be able to track my bookings. Maybe a calendar style display showing me the entire month. I should also be able to search custom ranges. Id like this to also be able to track my financials. To use it for analyzing trends, forecasts, etc. Record keeping overall. Id like to also be able to track certain commodities around my business. For example, if a BBQ Grill is ordered, we have to give them charcoal. Id like if I can track my charcoal stock through my site as well. Maybe schedule laundry dates or service dates, bills, etc. We give out a new set of slippers to each guest. Maybe this is something that can be automatically deducted as well. On the dashboard, I would also like to make notes on each cottage, maybe something I have to repair or fix. My workers should be able to also access the dashboard but maybe only for making or viewing notes on repair, etc. Maybe a general section as well. General notes on the property. Maybe a way to assign tasks to workers or assign workers to certain cottages, etc. Workers should be able to check off that their tasks were done as well. Even after booking, guests can join the dashboard to ask generalized questions. Maybe even AI can assist. I have a breakfast style buffet at my place. Id like a way for guests to also access this and pay, even if they are not staying here.
