I run a sign-manufacturing company and I’m ready to replace our spreadsheets with a purpose–built CRM that mirrors our 7-9 step production workflow. I already have each step documented; that document will be the blueprint you’ll build from. Core requirements • Custom-built architecture – I’m not looking to adapt an off-the-shelf system. • Email notifications at every stage so the right team member knows the job has advanced. • Two-way Google Calendar integration: • automatic event creation the moment a job enters a new step • deadline reminders pushed to the assigned employee’s calendar Key deliverables 1. Database schema that can store client info, job details and status history. 2. Web interface (desktop first, mobile responsive) that lets staff move a project from Step 1 through Step 9 with one click. 3. Trigger-based email module tied to status changes. 4. Secure OAuth connection to our Google Workspace calendar for real-time event sync. 5. User-level permissions so sales, production and installers see only the stages relevant to them. 6. Brief admin dashboard with filters and a visual pipeline view. 7. Deployment instructions plus a short screencast showing everyday use. Acceptance criteria • A test project walks itself through all nine steps and appears on Google Calendar exactly once per step. • Email alerts land in the correct inbox within 60 seconds of a status change. • Source code and basic documentation handed over on final sign-off.
