I want to stand up a dedicated image-hosting platform that I fully control rather than relying on third-party services. The core requirement is the ability to upload, store, and deliver images quickly and reliably at any resolution, with clean URLs and no branding except my own. Here’s what I have in mind: • A modern, responsive front-end where users can drag-and-drop or batch-upload images, see instant thumbnails, and copy shareable links. • A solid back-end—Laravel, Node, Django, or a stack you’re comfortable with—that saves original files, generates multiple sizes on the fly, and serves them through a CDN or bucket-style storage to keep latency low. • An admin panel where I can monitor storage usage, purge content, and toggle simple settings such as maximum file size, allowed formats, and optional watermarks. • Room to layer in extras later—lightweight image-editing, social sharing toggles, even role-based privacy controls—so clean, well-documented code is essential. Deliverables: 1. Source code in a private Git repo with a clear README for local setup and production deployment. 2. Database schema (SQL or NoSQL) and any infrastructure as-code scripts. 3. A short video walkthrough or live demo link proving everything works end-to-end. The first milestone will be a minimal viable upload-display cycle deployed to a test server; once that’s solid, we’ll build out the admin dashboard and polish the UI.
