# Hardware Design Engineer – Custom i.MX RT1170 Board ## Project Overview Looking for an experienced hardware engineer with proven experience in **NXP i.MX RT1170**, **high-speed digital design**, and **Altium Designer**. The objective is to customize the **NXP i.MX RT1170 Evaluation Kit (EVKB)** into a compact educational KIT. **The EVKB schematic and PCB layout are available and should be copied wherever possible. Existing reference circuits, component selections, layout, routing, and design practices should be reused unless modifications are required by the new hardware requirements.** ## Hardware Requirements - NXP i.MX RT1170 MCU - 12 V DC power input - USB power input - PoE power input - USB 2.0 High-Speed Device (480 Mbps) - 2 × Gigabit Ethernet PHYs with RJ45 connectors - 3 × CAN FD interfaces (8 Mbps) - 3 × LIN interfaces - JTAG/SWD debug connector - Same external Flash solution as the i.MX RT1170 EVKB (including FlexSPI configuration) - Support Secure Boot (HAB) and OTFAD - Power and User LEDs and push buttons ## General Requirements - Use **Altium Designer**. - Reuse the **EVKB reference design wherever possible** (schematic, layout, component selection, routing, power, clock, FlexSPI, USB, debug, etc.). - Only modify the design where required to implement the hardware listed above. ## Deliverables - Altium project (schematic + PCB+ components library ) - BOM - Gerber files - Pick & Place files - Assembly drawings
