Good morning Senior Full Stack / Bubble.io Marketplace Developer Required We are looking for an experienced developer (or small development team) to build the MVP of a bespoke online marketplace platform. This is not a standard brochure website, booking website or eCommerce store. It is a custom two-sided marketplace that will require a developer with strong experience in marketplace platforms, workflow automation, user management, payments and scalable architecture. About the Project The platform will connect homeowners with independent, verified service providers through a trusted online marketplace. The objective is to create a professional, highly intuitive platform that manages the entire customer journey from enquiry through to booking, communication, payment and reviews. The platform has been designed from first principles and is not based on an off-the-shelf marketplace template. We already have a detailed functional specification that will be shared only with shortlisted applicants following initial discussions. Core Requirements The platform will include three distinct user types: * Customer * Service Provider * Administrator Each user type will have its own secure dashboard, permissions and workflow. Core functionality will include: * Customer registration and account management * Service provider application and onboarding * Provider verification workflow * Intelligent quotation/estimate generation * Search and filtering * Profile management * Availability management * Booking management * Calendar functionality * Secure in-platform messaging * Customer reviews and ratings * Online payments * Commission management * Administrative reporting * Responsive design across desktop, tablet and mobile The system must be designed with future expansion in mind, including additional cities, services and future mobile applications. Technical Direction Our preferred MVP platform is Bubble.io, although we are open to discussing alternatives if there is a compelling technical reason. The solution will require integration with third-party services including payment processing, mapping/location services and notification systems. Performance, scalability and security are critical requirements. Who We’re Looking For We are specifically looking for someone who has genuine experience building marketplace platforms. Ideally you will have experience with: * Bubble.io (or equivalent no-code/low-code platforms) * Marketplace architecture * Complex workflows * Payment gateway integration (Stripe or similar) * Secure authentication * Role-based permissions * Database design * API integrations * UX/UI design for customer-facing platforms Please provide examples of marketplace platforms you have personally developed. Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate similar projects rather than generic web development experience. Engagement The successful developer will work with us through the MVP build and, subject to success, continue into future development phases as the platform grows. A comprehensive specification has already been produced but will only be shared with shortlisted applicants following initial discussions and an appropriate confidentiality agreement.
