I’m ready to bring a new skincare product to life and need an experienced cosmetic chemist to create the full formulation from scratch. The goal is a safe, effective, and market-ready product that aligns with current regulatory standards (USA / EU). I have a few preferred actives in mind—mainly gentle botanicals and proven dermal-grade ingredients—but I’m also open to your expert recommendations on what will best achieve a balanced, high-performance result. Here’s what I expect: • A complete ingredient deck with exact percentages, INCI names, and a clear preservative and pH-adjustment system. • A step-by-step manufacturing procedure that a contract manufacturer can follow, including heating phases, mixing speeds, and cooling points. • Guidance on stability, microbial challenge testing, and compatibility with common primary packaging options. • Brief notes on claim support and any necessary safety or regulatory documentation (SDS suggestions, cosmetic CPSR outline, etc.). I’ll provide my initial ingredient preferences and target skin concerns once we start; your role is to refine, innovate, and ensure the formula is both effective and commercially viable. Let me know about any similar projects you’ve handled, the lab equipment you use (HPLC, viscometer, homogenizer), and your typical turnaround for pilot batches and revisions.
