Project Title: HVAC Duct Design for Daikin Concealed AC with Linear Profile Diffuser I am looking for an experienced HVAC design engineer to design the complete supply and return air ducting for my room. AC Unit Details * Brand: Daikin * Model: FDBF24CRV16 * Type: Concealed ducted air conditioner * Airflow: Approximately 800 CFM * External Static Pressure (ESP): 20 mmWC Room Details * Room Size 1: 20 ft × 20 ft * Room Size 2: 16 ft x 12 ft * Ceiling Height: 9 ft (NOTE: 2 UNITS WILL BE INSTALLED IN ROOM 1 and 1 UNIT WILL BE INSTALLED IN ROOM 2) ( BOTH THE UNITS IN ROOM 1 WILL BE ADJACENT TO EACH OTHER) Important Design Requirements * I do not want long duct runs. The design should be as compact as possible. * The plenum box or supply duct may be connected directly to the indoor unit with minimal ducting. * The linear profile diffuser will be mounted vertically directly below/in front of the indoor unit, so the design should suit this installation arrangement. * The objective is to achieve efficient air distribution while keeping the ductwork as short and simple as possible. Scope of Work 1. Design the complete supply air duct/plenum from the indoor unit to the linear profile diffuser. 2. I will provide the manufacturer’s PDF catalogue of the linear profile diffuser. The diffuser must be selected only from this catalogue, with proper engineering justification. 3. Recommend the best diffuser model from the catalogue for my application. 4. The diffuser should provide two-sided (180°) airflow for uniform air distribution throughout the room. 5. Recommend the minimum possible linear profile diffuser length that can comfortably handle the unit’s 800 CFM while maintaining acceptable face velocity, throw, pressure drop, and noise levels. 6. Design the plenum box (with fabrication detail), including its dimensions and connection directly to the indoor unit. 7. Design the complete return air system, including: * Return air duct size * Return air grille size and type * Recommended location * Pressure loss calculations 8. Ensure the complete system operates within the Daikin unit’s available 20 mmWC ESP, considering: * Duct losses * Fittings * Plenum losses * Diffuser pressure drop * Return air pressure losses 9. Provide engineering calculations and justification for: * Duct sizing * Air velocity * Pressure drop * Air throw * Noise levels * Diffusion performance * Diffuser selection Deliverables * Supply duct/plenum layout * Return air duct layout * Recommended linear profile diffuser model from the supplied catalogue * Plenum box design and dimensions * Duct dimensions * Return air grille specifications * Static pressure calculations * Airflow calculations * Bill of materials (preferred) * PDF report containing all calculations, assumptions, and recommendations Design Priorities * Shortest possible ductwork * Minimum possible linear profile diffuser length * Direct plenum/duct connection to the indoor unit * Vertical installation of the linear profile diffuser * Two-sided airflow with even cooling across the room * Low noise operation * Efficient use of the available 20 mmWC ESP * Practical, easy-to-fabricate installation Only freelancers with proven experience in HVAC duct design, concealed ducted air conditioning systems, and linear slot/profile diffuser selection should apply.
