Project Title: Data Integration Engine & Job Core Subsystem (Industrial ERP Platform) Executive Summary We are seeking an experienced engineering team / full-stack developer to build an enterprise-grade Data Integration Engine & Job Core Subsystem for an industrial ERP platform. The primary objective is to create a resilient data backbone that ingests, normalizes, reconciles, and synchronizes real-time job data across four primary touchpoints into a unified Single Job View: Quotient Quotes (API & HMAC-verified webhooks) Microsoft SharePoint (MS Graph API file streaming & folder hierarchy) Purchase Orders (POs) (Version control & discrepancy detection algorithms) Email Notifications (Automated event-driven client alerts via SMTP/SMTP2Go) Technical Stack & Scope Overview Backend: Java (Spring Boot / JPA / PostgreSQL) Frontend: Next.js (React / Tailwind CSS) APIs & Protocols: Quotient API, MS Graph API, Webhooks (HMAC SHA-256), SMTP/SMTP2Go Milestone Breakdown & Deliverables Milestone 1: Core Foundation, Schema & Quote Ingestion Engine Task 1: Core Data Model & Relational Schema Design PostgreSQL schema with JPA entities for Jobs, Customers, POs, Drawings, and SharePoint metadata. Rigid state-machine implementation for job workflow statuses with immutable audit logging. Task 2: Manual Job Creation Wizard & Validation Engine Multi-step Next.js UI wizard with dynamic conditional logic (Needs Job Card, install flags). Java REST CRUD endpoints with Spring Data validation and duplicate checking. Task 3: Quotient Webhook Ingestion & Invariant Engine Secure HTTPS endpoint with HMAC SHA-256 signature verification. Atomic database locking on quotient_quote_id for idempotency and duplicate prevention. Milestone 2: File Integration (SharePoint) & Purchase Order Logic Task 4: SharePoint Automatic Folder Provisioning Engine MS Graph OAuth2 authentication, token caching, and auto-refresh mechanisms. Auto-provisioning standard sub-directory hierarchies (Drawings, Photos, POs) upon job creation. Task 5: SharePoint Large File Chunking & Photo Handler Resumable chunked byte-range upload sessions for large CAD/SmartCut files (>4Mb). Specialized photo routing and dynamic manual folder path overrides. Task 6: Purchase Order Versioning & Discrepancy Detection Engine Master job linkage with version tracking (v1,v2,v3) for amended POs. Variance detection engine comparing incoming PO values against original Quotient quote parameters. Milestone 3: Notifications, Unified Dashboard & End-to-End Resilience Task 7: Automated Email Notification Engine Event-driven status listeners triggering client email templates at key milestones. Administrative opt-in/opt-out notification toggles per client. Task 8: Reconciled Single Job View Dashboard & Sync Center Consolidated Next.js dashboard unifying job metadata, SharePoint files, PO histories, and email logs. Real-time integration status badges with manual re-sync capabilities. Task 9: End-to-End Integration Testing & Resilience Engineering Cross-system failure simulation (API outages, network drops, payload edge cases). Performance tuning and response-time optimization. Key Technical Requirements & Qualifications Proven experience with Java backend architecture and multi-threaded background processing. Proficiency in Next.js for building fluid, high-performance UI dashboards. Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Graph API, chunked file streaming, and OAuth2 integration. Expertise in secure API design (HMAC SHA-256 validation, idempotency patterns, transactional safety). Ability to write robust unit, integration, and failure-mode test suites.
