Freelance DaVinci Resolve Editor for Ongoing YouTube Running Videos I am looking for a reliable video editor for an ongoing series of immersive treadmill-running videos and beginner running workouts. The videos are recorded outdoors from a runner’s point of view. Some are scenic virtual runs, while others are guided workouts with timed walking and running intervals. Two workouts are currently ready for editing, with more planned. The work You will receive: * A link to download the original footage directly from GoPro Cloud * A detailed project brief in Notion * A complete production manual * Existing graphics and templates * A Canva progress-bar template * Countdown audio * Supporting graphics and text * Access to the existing ambient-audio library * Reference videos showing the intended style You will create the DaVinci Resolve project locally and complete the edit according to the project brief and production manual. Typical tasks include: * Reviewing and trimming the raw footage * Producing a clean, stable final timeline * Identifying the actual walk/run transition times * Adding markers at every transition * Creating an accurate workout progress bar * Animating the progress-bar pointer * Adding countdown beeps before transitions * Adding information cards * Replacing distracting camera audio with natural ambient sound * Applying basic image and audio corrections * Completing a full quality-control review The footage is normally a continuous outdoor recording rather than a conventional video assembled from many short clips. Required software You must use DaVinci Resolve. The completed Resolve project must be returned as a DaVinci Project Archive (.dra) so that I can open and continue working on it locally. Please do not apply if your normal workflow is based only on Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut or another editor. The free version of DaVinci Resolve may be sufficient, provided it supports all required work and the returned project opens correctly. Delivery requirements For each completed project, you will deliver: 1. A review-quality MP4 2. The complete DaVinci Resolve Project Archive (.dra) 3. Any new reusable assets created during the project Reusable assets may include: * Ambient sound loops * Sound effects * PNG graphics * Revised Canva exports * Other assets that may be useful in future videos All footage and project materials must be downloaded and stored locally while working. The project must not depend on media remaining on your computer after delivery. Accuracy is important The workout timings must be based on the final edited footage, not simply copied from the planned workout schedule. The process is: 1. Complete the main video edit 2. Identify the actual transition points in the finished timeline 3. Add accurate markers 4. Use the supplied spreadsheet and Canva template to build the progress bar 5. Align the pointer, countdown sounds and graphics with those timings The final countdown sound must land exactly on the walk/run transition. Detailed instructions are supplied, so you do not need to design the production system yourself. You must, however, be comfortable following a precise and repeatable workflow. Audio approach The original camera audio often contains heavy breathing and wind noise, so it will not normally be used as the primary audio track. Instead, the videos use layered natural ambience, such as: * Forest ambience * Gravel or trail footsteps * Road running sounds * Coastal ambience * Urban ambience The result should sound natural and immersive rather than obviously looped or heavily produced. Experience with audio editing and seamless ambience loops is therefore useful. Initial paid project The first assignment will be a paid test using one completed workout. The test will assess: * Ability to follow the Notion project brief * DaVinci Resolve organisation * Timing accuracy * Progress-bar accuracy * Audio quality * Attention to detail * Communication * Reliability * Quality of the returned .dra archive The first project may initially be limited to part of the video before proceeding with the complete edit. If the test is successful, there is potential for regular ongoing work. The next two workouts are already recorded and ready for editing. Suitable editor This role is likely suitable for someone who: * Uses DaVinci Resolve regularly * Is comfortable with longer-form footage * Has strong attention to timing and detail * Can follow documented procedures consistently * Understands basic audio mixing and ambience editing * Keeps timelines and media well organised * Communicates clearly when something is missing or unclear * Can return projects that another Resolve editor can open without relinking problems You do not need extensive experience with fitness videos, but an understanding of running, cycling, workout content or immersive POV videos would be useful.
