I need a qualified engineer to design portable steel bridge panels primarily for vehicular traffic, specifically to support logging equipment like forwarders, harvesters, and skidders. Key requirements: - Designed for heavy-duty use - Support approx. 60-70 ton load capacity - Portable and easy to assemble/disassemble - looking for a max length of 24 ft - 4’6” to 5 foot wide panels that are separate and not bolted together. - need to keep the panels as light as possible so they can easily be moved. - we currently use 12” thick, 4’ wide wooden crane mats that work well but are looking for something with more longevity. - i will provide examples of what we are looking for hopefully that helps Ideal skills and experience: - Structural engineering expertise - Experience in designing heavy-duty transport structures - Proficiency in relevant design software - Knowledge of materials that can withstand heavy loads and environmental factors Looking for innovative, durable, and practical design solutions.
