I need a programmer to turn my signature “green” chess board into a straightforward desktop game. The brief is simple: • Create a fully-playable digital chess application for desktop computers. • Use the traditional green-and-white board graphics supplied by me, keeping the same look and feel. • Deliver a single installer or executable that runs smoothly without additional setup on a standard desktop environment (Windows is my current focus, but if your framework can package for macOS or Linux too, that is a welcome bonus). • Include basic game logic—legal move validation, turn tracking, check, checkmate, stalemate—and a simple menu to start a new game, resign, or save/load. No AI is required; this is strictly player-vs-player on the same machine. Acceptance criteria • The final build launches with a clean window showing the green board, pieces set up correctly, and responsive drag-or-click movement. • All illegal moves are blocked; all game-ending states are detected and reported. • The executable is under 50 MB and installs (or runs as a portable app) without extra dependencies for the target OS. Hand-off assets: source code, compiled build, and brief instructions for future graphic swaps. Once these items pass a quick play-through on my machine, the $160 project fee is released in full.
