I need a desktop application that lets users interact in a social-network style environment. The core idea is to give people a place to create a profile, search for others, connect, and share updates—everything packaged in an installer that runs natively on Windows. If you can make macOS or Linux builds too, that’s a welcome bonus, but Windows is the must-have. I’m flexible on the tech stack; Electron, .NET (WPF/WinUI), or any cross-platform framework you’re comfortable with is fine so long as it delivers a responsive UI and clean, maintainable code. A lightweight local or cloud-hosted database is also needed for user data and posts. Security and performance matter, so please keep them front of mind as you decide on authentication, encrypted storage, and caching approaches. What I’d like to receive: • Packaged desktop installer(s) plus all source code • A short setup/readme so I can build and run the app myself • Inline code comments and brief high-level documentation covering architecture, key libraries, and how to extend features later • A quick hand-over call or video walkthrough at the end to be sure everything is clear Feel free to suggest incremental milestones—for example, wireframes first, then a working prototype, and finally a polished release—so we can stay aligned throughout the build.
