I’m ready to move a dramatic short from script to screen and I need a director who can capture a serious, intense atmosphere throughout the entire production. The piece runs roughly 12 – 15 minutes and is dialogue-driven with a tight emotional arc, so your eye for performance and pacing will be critical. During pre-production we’ll refine the storyboard, shot list and blocking together. I already have a draft storyboard, location options and casting underway; your creative input on camera movement, lighting schemes and overall visual language will shape the final look. Principal photography is planned for a three-day shoot on location in a single house interior and one exterior night scene. You’ll lead the crew on set, work closely with the DP, ensure performances stay grounded, and make real-time adjustments that heighten tension without resorting to melodrama. After we wrap, I’ll handle post-production myself but I’d like you available for two review sessions to provide notes on the rough and fine cuts so we preserve the tonal consistency you establish on set. Key deliverables • Annotated shot list & final blocking plan before day one of shooting • On-set direction across all shooting days, supervising cast and crew • Two rounds of edit feedback (remote is fine) Experience with drama, low-light setups, and intimate character pieces is a plus.
