I’m creating a very short educational picture book for children aged 0-3 that introduces animals and the natural world in language they can hear, repeat, and enjoy. I need a writer who can craft a gentle, rhythmic narrative—something that works well for a lap-read or board-book format—while subtly building early learning skills (sounds, simple counting, first words, cause-and-effect). Here’s what I’m after: • Manuscript of approximately 150–250 words, broken into clear page turns. • Age-appropriate vocabulary, plenty of repetition, and a warm, soothing cadence. • Each page should spotlight an animal in its habitat, weaving in simple facts or sensory cues (“soft fur,” “splashing water”) to spark curiosity without overwhelming little listeners. • A brief illustration note under each page of text to guide an artist on mood, color focus, and key visual elements (no need to design the art yourself). Acceptance criteria 1. Final text is delivered in an editable document. 2. Language is tested for read-aloud flow; no sentence longer than about ten words. 3. Educational angle is clear yet playful—no dense explanations. If you have samples of toddler-age writing, especially nature themed, please attach them so I can hear your voice right away.
