The project centers on a fully-scripted picture book for 3- to 5-year-olds that gently introduces numbers and counting through a fun, memorable storyline. I already have a rough concept—friendly forest animals hosting a picnic—but I’m open to your creative twist as long as the final draft stays firmly educational and age-appropriate. Scope • Manuscript length: roughly 600–800 words, broken into clear page spreads that suit standard 24- or 32-page picture-book layouts. • Tone: warm, playful, and simple enough for preschool read-aloud sessions. • Learning goal: children should effortlessly practise counting 1–10 by the end of the book. Alphabet, manners, or other topics may appear only as subtle background touches if they support the core counting objective. • Extras: a short parent/teacher guide (1–2 pages) suggesting activities that reinforce the numeric concepts. Deliverables 1. Final manuscript in Word or Google Docs. 2. Page-by-page illustration notes (brief, no full art required). 3. One-paragraph back-cover blurb. Acceptance criteria • Story follows a clear beginning-middle-end structure with a satisfying, child-friendly resolution. • Numbers are presented sequentially and repeat often enough for retention without feeling forced. • Language level suits early preschoolers (sight words, simple sentences). • All text is original and free of copyrighted material.
