I need a senior-level engineer who can take my high-level requirements and turn them into a complete, production-ready data center blueprint. The engagement starts with detailed capacity planning and infrastructure sizing, moves through server, storage, and network architecture, and finishes with a cloud-aware disaster-recovery strategy. Virtualization will sit at the heart of the design, so practical experience shaping resource pools and performance policies is essential. The scope covers both greenfield recommendations and optimization of the hardware I already have in place. I expect you to justify every sizing decision with clear calculations, map workloads to the most appropriate compute or storage tier, and show how the on-prem stack will interoperate with our preferred public-cloud provider. Deliverables I require: • A capacity-planning report with growth projections • Detailed logical and physical design diagrams (servers, SAN/NAS, network core, edge, security zones) • A bill of materials and high-level implementation schedule • A step-by-step disaster-recovery and failover plan, including RPO/RTO targets • Documentation outlining the virtualization layer configuration and any automation/orchestration recommendations Your work will be considered complete when the above artifacts are delivered, reviewed during a walkthrough session, and any critical gaps are closed.
