I have already designed and implemented a complete event-driven microservices backend system for a hotel booking platform, and I am now enhancing it to a production-ready solution with advanced AI capabilities. The system is built on a scalable microservices architecture with independently deployable services such as User, Hotel, Booking, Payment, Notification, and Rating. It uses Apache Kafka for asynchronous communication and follows an event-driven saga pattern to handle workflows like booking and payment with reliable state transitions (PENDING → CONFIRMED/FAILED). The backend is developed using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud, including: * Eureka Server for service discovery * Spring Cloud Gateway for centralized routing * Feign Clients for inter-service communication In addition, I am integrating AI-driven features into the backend, such as intelligent hotel recommendations, personalized user experience, and smart insights based on user behavior and booking patterns.
