I maintain one master worksheet that holds mixed data—numbers alongside text. As new rows are added I want the workbook to look at a particular column, treat each distinct value it finds as a key, and then do the heavy lifting for me: • If a sheet matching that key already exists, send the row there. • If it doesn’t exist yet, create the sheet instantly, name it after the key, and drop the row in. • Keep everything inside the same workbook, updating the individual sheets whenever the master data changes. Feel free to use VBA, Power Query, dynamic array formulas, or whichever Excel-native approach you feel is most robust; the only requirement is that the process stays fully automatic once the solution is in place. Deliverables • The working Excel file with automation in place • Clear notes inside the workbook (or a short text guide) showing where I can adjust the target column or other basic settings • A quick test demonstrating that new entries in the master sheet create or update the subsidiary sheets without manual refresh steps
