I manage our company database and spend far too much time on repetitive inventory updates in Microsoft Excel. I’m ready to streamline that workflow with a dependable automation solution. Here’s what I need the new workbook or add-in to handle: • Automatically read incoming inventory files and update stock levels in the master sheet. • Cross-reference shipment data so each item’s in-transit or delivered status is always current. • Produce clear daily and monthly summary reports at the press of a button. VBA, Power Query, or a mix of both are fine so long as the end result is fast, accurate, and easy for non-technical staff—ideally a single button or ribbon command. Accuracy is non-negotiable: every quantity must reconcile perfectly with the numbers exported from our ERP. Acceptance criteria • No manual copy-paste once raw CSVs are placed in the input folder. • Stock balances match ERP totals to within ±1 unit. • Reports build in under 30 seconds on a 10 k-row dataset. Please keep formulas transparent, comment the code clearly, and include a short hand-over guide or screencast so I can maintain small tweaks myself.
