I already have a working web front-end in PHP/HTML/CSS/JavaScript and a fully functional inference endpoint (it is not OpenAI, but it returns JSON in the same structure). Most of the heavy lifting is done; what’s left is the last layer of polish so the interface truly feels like ChatGPT. Here’s the current status: • Runs in the browser (Web platform) • Core chat logic and API calls are in place • Layout and styling are roughly 80 % complete What I still need: • Refine the chat bubbles, timestamps, and avatars so they mirror ChatGPT’s look and spacing • Implement the “typing” animation and stream responses line-by-line from my endpoint • Auto-scroll logic that pauses when the user scrolls up, resumes at the bottom when appropriate • Conversation sidebar with collapsible history and a new-chat button • Edit / Regenerate / Continue buttons with proper state handling • Responsive tweaks for small screens • Light / dark theme toggle saved in localStorage Acceptance criteria – UI visually comparable to ChatGPT on both desktop and mobile widths – Streaming responses with no page reloads, powered by my existing PHP fetch logic – All buttons and menus behave exactly as described above without console errors You’ll have direct access to the codebase (plain PHP, no framework) plus the endpoint documentation. Once complete, I’ll handle deployment myself; I just need the front-end finished and pushed to Git. If this sounds straightforward, let’s wrap it up quickly.
