We're a fintech/financial-analytics company building an AI assistant that lets users ask natural-language questions about markets — mutual funds, equities, ETFs, REITs, government securities, macro forecasts, portfolio optimization, and financial calculators — and get back rich, interactive answers (charts, tables, comparison cards, forms) instead of plain text. The backend NLU/LLM engine and data APIs already exist. We need a skilled front-end developer to design and build a polished, production-grade chatbot web app that consumes these APIs, and to make it embeddable into our main marketing website. What You'll Build 1. A responsive, modern conversational chat interface (message stream, typing/loading states, streaming responses, session history). 2. A library of interactive "answer blocks" rendered inside chat bubbles — e.g. data tables, line/bar charts, comparison views, multi-step input forms, pickers, and result dashboards. Clarification / follow-up flows (the assistant asks the user to pick a sector, fund, company, etc. via inline UI components). 3. Clean API integration with our existing chat backend (REST/JSON). 4. An embeddable widget (e.g. a floating chat launcher / iframe or script embed) to drop the assistant into our website. 5. Smooth animations, theming (light/dark), and a refined UX. Preferred Tech Stack 1. React 19 + TypeScript + Vite 2. Tailwind CSS 3. Recharts (or similar) for data visualizations 4. Framer Motion for animations 5. Consuming a Node/Fastify JSON API (no backend work required, but API-integration experience essential) (Open to discussion if you have strong reasons to suggest alternatives.) Required Skills 1. Strong React + TypeScript, with real experience building component libraries and complex, state-heavy UIs. 2. Solid CSS/Tailwind and a strong eye for clean, modern UX. 3. Experience integrating with REST APIs (auth, loading/error states, streaming/SSE a plus). 4. Data-visualization experience (charts, tables, responsive layouts). 5. Ability to build a reusable, embeddable widget. Nice to Have 1. Prior work on chatbot / conversational UIs or AI assistant front-ends. 2. Familiarity with fintech / financial data presentation. 3. Experience with LLM-powered apps (streaming tokens, tool/function-call style responses). 4. Accessibility (a11y) and performance optimisation. Deliverables 1. Fully functional, responsive chatbot web app integrated with our APIs. 2. Reusable, documented component/block library. 3. Embeddable website widget. 4.
