I need a senior‐level engineer to act as my technical watchdog while an offshore team builds our new Middle-East focused fintech platform. Your job is purely oversight: dive into pull requests, architecture diagrams, sprint demos and staging builds, then tell me—clearly and early—whether what you see matches the specifications and whether the code is up to scratch. Scope you’ll review • Mobile apps on iOS and Android • Two customer-facing web applications • A multifaceted backend that handles real-time data sync, a credit-scoring engine, digital contracts, payment processing and a notification system My top priority is code quality and rigorous standards adherence. Functional fit and performance matter too, but clean, maintainable, well-architected code comes first. Deliverables I expect 1. A brief written report after each sprint highlighting issues, risks and any technical debt the team is accruing. 2. Pull-request comments or annotated screenshots that show exactly where you believe changes are required. 3. A quick call (15-20 min) after each report to answer questions and align next steps. Acceptance criteria • Issues are raised within 24 hours of discovery. • Feedback is specific, actionable and mapped to the relevant part of the spec or best practice. • No significant defect or standards violation should reach UAT without prior flagging. You will not write production code; instead you will scrutinise it, question decisions when necessary, and keep us confident that the final product is technically sound across mobile, web and backend.
