Descripción de la oferta

We are looking for a skilled graphic designer to create fire safety floor plans and site plan graphics for a both industrial and residential buildings on an ongoing basis. Turnaround times are critical in this work. We are sometimes given extremely tight deadlines. This work will be consistent and on going from a very well established fire safety consulting company in Canada. There are different graphics sets needed for inclusion in the printed plans and final ITO (Instructions to Occupant) graphics that are printed and installed in the building. There are included samples of the finished graphic sets for review below. Usually we receive floor plan drawings in pdf format from the client that are from architectural drawings. These drawings will be in a monday.com "pulse" for that client that you will have access to. The drawings are full of dimensional lines and unnecessary details that must be "cleaned" to leave just simple floor plans consisting of walls, doors, and stairs that will be re-uploaded to the monday.com "pulse" labelled as "Proofs" for that account. We will then markup the "Proof" drawings and re-submit as "Markups" to the monday.com for the necessary life safety and site service items to be included in the finished graphics. However, sometimes these are not available and we submit photographs of existing ITOs from previous plans that are mounted on the walls and the graphic designer must recreate "Proofs" for us to markup from those. Additionally, Site plan drawings are sometimes not available and those are created from Google Earth images that we will provide. From the Google Earth image the designer will create a site plan that we will drop the necessary symbols in to be included in the final site plan. Please see attached samples. This is a two stage process at minimum. Stage ONE - Create "clean" Proof drawings for our team to markup with our markup symbol sets. Step TWO - Create Final graphics in the dimensions and sets as described below. We will provide the designer the full symbol sets we use to markup each pdf markup drawing, and also the final finished graphic symbol the designer will substitute for the markup symbol on the final finished Site, ITO, and Floorplan drawings. There are four finished graphic sets required for each plan. They are: - Tabloid sized Site Plan. This is printed and included in the finished fire safety plan binder. See samples - Tabloid sized Floor plan(s). These are printed and included in the finished fire safety plan binder. See samples. - Letter sized ITOs (Instructions to Occupants) These are printed and included in the finished fire safety plan binder. See attached samples. - Tabloid sized ITOs. These are printed, trimmed to 11"x14" and mounted in acrylic frames and installed on the walls of the building. See samples. Ideal skills and experience: - English language proficiency in both written and verbal is essential. - Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator) - Experience creating safety or emergency evacuation plans, but not necessary. - Attention to detail and accuracy. This is absolutely critical. Double and triple checking the finished graphics to include the necessary symbols and their location on each drawing is the most essential skill. We suggest you create a checklist for each type of graphic; Site, Floorplan, & ITOs. - Ability to follow specific layout and design guidelines. - Ability to prioritize our work and work within occasional tight deadlines. Please provide samples of similar work done.
