I need a custom module for Odoo v18 Enterprise that lives on Odoo.sh and talks directly to the Float Financial REST API. The goal is simple: every time a Float credit-card transaction is approved, the data (merchant, amount, date, receipt image, tax, and the user’s GL coding) should flow automatically into Odoo Accounting. Key requirements I cannot compromise on • Automatic transaction import with solid duplicate prevention based on the Float transaction ID. • Fully configurable account mappings managed from within Odoo so Finance can tweak them without code changes. • Both scheduled and manual synchronisation: a cron job we can set to our preferred cadence plus a “Sync Now” button inside Odoo. • Attach receipts, tax details, and GL coding exactly as they appear in Float. • Multi-card, multi-currency awareness. Technical expectations The add-on must be written in clean Python using the Odoo ORM, consume Float’s endpoints securely (API keys held in Odoo System Parameters or environment variables), and conform to Odoo.sh deployment flow—dev → staging → production. Commit history, automated tests, and a well-commented README that covers installation, configuration, rollback, and update paths are all part of the deliverable. Acceptance criteria 1. An approved Float transaction appears in Odoo (card journal entry or supplier invoice) with identical values and attached receipt. Does NOT require re-approval in Odoo 2. Re-running the sync never produces duplicates. 3. Editing a mapping inside Odoo is reflected in the very next import. 4. Manual and scheduled syncs work flawlessly in both staging and production branches. 5. Code quality passes Odoo pylint checks and is fully documented inline.
