I am looking to develop **Fortune POS**, a modern Point of Sale (POS) system for small and medium-sized businesses. The goal is to create a reliable, fast, secure, and easy-to-use retail management system that can be deployed in real businesses while remaining scalable for future enhancements. The application **must be a genuine Windows desktop application (.exe)**, not a browser-based web application. It must run completely offline using a local database, with optional cloud synchronization when internet is available. The MVP should include product management, inventory management, barcode scanning, sales processing, purchase orders, stock receiving, stock adjustments, supplier management, customer management, discounts, returns, receipt printing, user roles (Admin & Worker), dashboards, and detailed sales and inventory reports. The interface should be modern, intuitive, and require minimal staff training. The software should support common retail hardware such as barcode scanners, receipt printers, cash drawers, and weighing scales where applicable. The architecture is extremely important. The system should be modular, maintainable, and designed for future expansion without major redesign. Future versions will include accounting, analytics, AI features, cloud services, third-party integrations, and secure REST APIs for products, inventory, customers, suppliers, purchases, and sales. I require clean, well-documented code following good software engineering practices. Upon completion, I require full ownership of the project, including the complete source code, database scripts, API documentation, architecture documentation, installation instructions, and all intellectual property. The software should be production-ready and suitable for deployment in live retail environments.
