About the RoleThis is a founding engineering role at an early-stage healthtech SaaS company building the system of record for nursing excellence. The platform helps large health systems improve nurse retention and patient outcomes by centralizing professional governance, digital clinical ladder programs, clinical inquiry (EBP, QI, Research), and ANCC designation management — replacing fragmented spreadsheets and shared drives with a unified, enterprise-grade product.You'll be the first or among the first engineers, working directly with the founding team to own architecture, set standards, and ship production features across four integrated products. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role in a massive and underserved healthcare vertical.No visa sponsorship is available. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.What You'll DoOwn end-to-end architecture and ship production features across a suite of four integrated SaaS productsDesign data models and backend services for complex multi-hospital, multi-unit organizational structuresBuild AI workflows for exemplar writing, evidence organization, and document retrieval across large program datasetsImplement enterprise infrastructure including SSO/SAML, role-based access control (RBAC), audit logging, and HRIS integrationsJoin customer calls, hear problems firsthand, and translate feedback into shipped product within tight timelinesDefine and establish engineering standards, CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and scalable architectural patterns for a growing teamWhat We're Looking ForRequired:5+ years of experience building production SaaS productsStrong full-stack development skills: TypeScript, React, and server-side JavaScript (Node.js)Experience designing backend systems for multi-tenant or multi-unit, workflow-heavy applicationsHands-on experience with enterprise authentication (SSO/SAML), RBAC, audit logging, and HRIS integrationExperience building AI-powered workflows for document generation, evidence organization, or large-dataset retrievalProven ability to own both architecture and implementation in an early-stage, fast-moving environmentAbility to engage directly with non-technical domain experts and customers, and translate feedback quickly into productClear written and verbal communicator who collaborates well across functionsTech stack in use: Next.js, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Supabase, Vercel, AWS S3Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $135,000 – $155,000 USD annuallyEquity and stock options with clear career progression401(k) with company matchLearning & development stipend (tuition, certifications, conferences)Comprehensive wellness program and mental health resourcesGenerous paid parental leave (including adoption and surrogacy)Commuter benefits and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)LocationThis role is fully remote (US-based).
